My name is Daryl Wurzbacher. I am a technology leader located in Tampa, Florida. The most important part of my life is my family. My wife and I were high school sweethearts and we have been blessed with all the joy, humility, and amazing health benefits that come with raising a child.

I am the CEO of a company called ByDesign Technologies (www.bydesign.com) that I’ve worked at for more than a decade. I started as the Director of Solutions and have worked my way up; progressing to a Vice-President, then President and recently promoted to CEO. We build web-based enterprise SaaS software for the Direct Sales/MLM industry; building the technology and user experiences for millions of Customers, Consultants and Corporate Users from around the world.

Prior to ByDesign, I was the first employee of a Direct Sales company called CyberWize back in 1999, where I led the Technology team as the Director of Information Technology. I started as a Software Developer and grew with them; building a team of Developers and Network Engineers supporting their growth to almost $100M/year in annual revenue. Throughout this time, I attended Florida Institute of Technology (majoring in Computer Science) and did research in software security. I was also able to mix in a couple of internships in at Symantec (Newport News, VA) to help broaden my perspective. I’m very thankful for these experiences and the opportunity I was given.

Personal.

Outside of work, I have a lot of other hobbies and interests: competitive dog training (Schutzhund/IPO), distance running (finished 2 marathons and a half dozen half marathons), along with reading (listening) to all kinds of books. I enjoy learning and try to vary what I read – from business and technology through to philosophy, history and even some fiction. I’ve tried to complete 20-30 books/year over the past few years and I’m always interested in discussing/sharing my favorites with coworkers and friends.
